In 1770, this country was a colony of England. In 1788-89, it became a Republic which is different than a Democracy. Get your facts straight before you start making comments.

…after they had fun and became pregnant. After all, aborting their child is just another form of birth control. Less than 1% of all abortions have any claims to incest or rape.

You have that right, Q4horse. A little history lesson. Now the Democrats are keeping Republicans out of power by doing what they were afraid the Republicans would have done back in the days they rammed through these laws.

This administration and Congress barely support either. I’m surprised that they don’t make the troops pay for their food, shelters, and ammunition. If they can ignore four guys yelling for help and dying in Benghazi, this bunch of polecats are capable of anything.

While both Trudeau and “Doughfoot” sound very well informed and are certainly articulate, neither has a clue. Intelligent Design has been successfully debated for years strictly on the basis of science without mention of (horrors!) the Bible. Ultimately though, neither creationism or evolution is entirely provable since each stands on a foundation of faith. Creationists understand and accept this; evolutionists simply cannot.

I wonder how many people realize just how true this little story really is? Not from some political point of view, but that there really are guys out there like Ray. Trudeau tends toward morality plays, but this one grabbed me.

The re-election of Harry Reid just proved the point.

I find it refreshing that folks here are posting more and more “I can’t stand politicians regardless of party” kind of offerings. Certainly a candid, non-party biased look at American politics since the inception of the Republic justifies that attitude. While we have no choice outside of anarchy about having these people, we don’t have to believe what they say. Therein lies the rub. One has to understand the issues and the politicians themselves, but we simply are unwilling or unable to take the time to do that. Politicians at the national level are almost always the result of coming up through the ranks and paying the price necessary to advance. How many folks actually pay that close of attention to those on the rise? Who is running for road commissioner, say, in your district, and what does he/she stand for?
