The question is not “if” it is changing….but “is” man causing it. The climate on this planet was changing long before we crawled out of the ooze and will continue to change long after we have gone the way of the dinosaurs.

Constantly more was supposed to read constantly for.

There is no question about “if” climate change happens. it is about who is the cause. The geologic record shows us that it has been happening constantly more the entire history of the earth. Long before we were here, and long after we are gone it will continue. Droughts in TX are not uncommon http://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/ybd01 and should not be treated as if they are something new to advance an agenda. As far as record temps…the fact that there has been higher than normal (normal being what we have observed as normal in the last 50 years of modern instrumentation) solar activity recently surely has nothing to do with it.

Do you really think that the “right” wakes up every day and thinks “how can we really screw over women’s reproductive rights?” Try reading “Rules for Radicals” and you will see that politicising an issue that is really not what the issue is about is a means of dividing your enemy.

Because when the previous deaths occurred at embassies, they hadn’t been begging for additional security that was denied. They didn’t beg for help while under attack that was denied. The previous attacks at embassies were bombings. Meaning random terrorist walks up and blows up. No 7 hour attack that could have been shut down with a timely drone strike. Or a spec ops team that could have been there in 4 hours after it started.

All of you have missed the mark all together. Businesses do not pay taxes. Not one single one does. People do. Every tax, every day is paid for lock stock and barrel by people. The tax burden shifts to the people in the price of goods and services. By the time anything reaches your shelf its price is masking about a 22% tax made up of all the taxes on the companies that produce every component of the product you buy.

I guess Pastis is not done squeezing the lemmings for all they are worth.

@DrCanuck That assumption is only valid if you assume there is a finite amount of “wealth” in the world. Did the wealthy steal money. And I mean go out and steal it. No. Then where did their wealth come from. A GIGANTIC part of it over the past 30 years is from something called “the time value of money.” At a simple 8% with no additional savings someone with 1 million in 1980 would have more than 7.9 million or 12.5 million (if money was in an IRA) after that same 32 years. There have been plenty of people that have started out in the middle class for most of their working life and saved over time to end up as wealthy in retirement. Your premise about the middle class has nothing to do with what someone has done to them and everything to do the choices they make to save or not or live within their means or not.

    A. Because there is still so much uncertainty about upcoming regulations and the costs that will be imposed.
    B. Other costs are still to be calculated (the cost of Obamacare for one)
    C. In case you haven’t noticed the tax rates have been temporary. When Bush enacted them, they were set for many years. So there was certainty and business could plan. The taxes have only been on a hike hiatus with that expected to end in December.
