    You know the message of this comic seems to be “helping anyone else is hopeless and useless.” Even the smallest good deed has magically turned into a turd for the protagonists.

    Democracy is three wolves and a sheep voting on lunch. Endtown had anonymous wolves. ANY system, even a direct tyranny, would be better than this.

    The author self-evidently comes down on the side of “direct democracy.” Democracy is three wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner. The system in Endtown had the wolves wearing masks to boot.

    as much as people like to get their tighty whities in a bunch over gay issues and draw parallels everywhere, the Endtowners are dealing with a different issue— the potential of their society to break down into CANNIBALISM. Half their citizens are carnivores now. Holly nearly became someone’s lunch a short while ago. And milk may be one thing, but eggs come perilously close…
