Judging by the number of cards he’s holding and the time this was written, he’s probably playing bridge. Facial expressions aren’t going to change much in this game. Especially if they’re playing duplicate tables.

I am amused about all the people who complain about Black Friday – and then decide to go out shopping for deals. If you disapprove, then stay home. The stores aren’t doing this to be mean – they do it because it draws in customers.

I sympathize. At that age, I couldn’t hold a full hand of cards either. And the mini cards adults suggested I use were even worse.

Make it pay for its own electricity and see how quickly it decides it has to earn a living.

You can’t identify a piece from a single chord. And this “sheet music” doesn’t even make any sense. It’s a single chord repeated four times, but there’s a slur over it, meaning they’re supposed to run together. So it’s really just a single chord.

Actually, you do make pie from the thick flesh that the outer skin is attached to. You don’t make pies from the seeds and entrails. But you are right that nobody would do it with a pumpkin whose insides have been exposed to the elements for a week or two!

And, of course, the variety of pumpkin they sell for decoration usually don’t taste very good. There are other varieties (bred for flavor instead of looks) which are far better for making pies.

Reminds me of the hair on the old Lego “homemaker” figures from the 70’s: http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Homemaker_Figures
