Seriously? That got pulled? What a sad, humorless world we have become.

I’m thinking that might not be a good idea if there are barbarian hoards on the other side of the river.

Well, that was certainly not very amusing.

Oh, I think the administrators and many tenured professors in the Arts & Sciences departments have pretty well already done that. The real challenge is what can be done to restore them as institutions of higher learning rather than post-teen babysitting services.

Well, your argument might have merit if it were based on facts. However, the fact is that when you have the precious snowflakes at several campuses around the country seeking out their safe spaces and feeling “violated” because someone chalked “Trump 2016” on the sidewalks, your argument really has no merit.

Why not keep it that way year around? They tried that during the Nixon administration during the energy crisis; somehow this was supposed to save energy. Caused an uproar because kids were going to school or standing at bus stops waiting to get to school in the dark. So they went back to standard time during the winter with some extra time tacked on both ends for DST. Well, the goal of going year around never was abandoned, so they keep shortening the time we are on standard time. Apparently the politicians think if they sneak up on it, it won’t be dark when kids are going to school in the winter when they get to year around DST again.
