Silver nitrate is used to produce photographic film, and explosives. Silver the villain also has silver hair.

What is the connection with the word Sprocket? Is she a tech wiz/ is a sprocket a part of photography?

A couple of things. Gruesome appears more grotesque in the passing of time. Note the progression in panel 2 from October (panel one).
The Sunday strip still amazes me with the different heavier inks and the tonal coloring (last panel). I much prefer the daily’s cleaner look. No offense to anyone.

Coffee is kind trigger happy, yes? Didn’t he blast some intruders at the radio station a while back?

As for the different look to the strip. It is correct that the style of the art is changed for all of the Simmons Corners strips, to look more like Harold Gray’s Annie while the strips with the MCU still look like Tracy except for the Annie characters. There is also a difference in the text bubbles and size as well as their orientation in the strip.

Thank you Tarry for this info, it explains a lot about the homage to Gray in the Simmons Corners scenes, especially the word balloons, which I never noticed! The inks did change on 8/30 however, not when Tracy arrived weeks ago which is interesting :)

Concerning the art, the daily strip hasn’t looked the same since August 30. Go back and look for yourself. It looks more like the Sunday strip, not the coloring with the gradient tones on all the colors, which I don’t personally like as much as the solid color dailies, but the inks have gone too harsh, and the look as changed. Pencils are the same. I cant get my photo bucket to cooperate or I would show you the new horizontal lines in Annie’s red hair, the horizontal line below her eyes, all new since 8/30.

First of all, you cant deny there is a BIG art difference in the Sunday and Daily appearance, right?
