Few things smell as good as sheets dried in the sun.

Add me to the list of anti-communalists. Occasionally it has been forced upon me; college, banquets, etc. But I go to a restaurants to enjoy a meal, not to make conversation with strangers.

We never stay if there is a crowd and we tip extremely well.

It is considered a very special occasion when my wife and I go out for breakfast. We bring along the Sunday NYTimes crossword and settle in for a couple of hours of puzzles, puns, flirts, out loud laughs, oh, and breakfast. No better time for a date.

I agree. A selfish little boy and a tree that didn’t know when to say no. How about “Where the Sidewalk Ends” and “Sara Cynthia Silvia Stout”?

this is twice in the last week you’ve attacked Janis. I simply don’t understand. Granted, they’re comic characters, but part of their appeal is the reality of the relationship. Possibly because Arlo and Janis remind me so much of me and my wife, I find myself taking offense. I love my wife more than life itself. She’s not perfect, although she’s damned close, but lord knows neither am I. Arlo loves her. That is all that matters.

And there are women not like that who are beautiful, loving, intelligent life partners. Sex is a grand and wonderful thing, and these two obviously enjoy it, but it is far, far from the main ingredient to a long and loving marriage.

I used to teach school. Possibly because of my perspective, I find Caufield class interruptions to be really irritating. Someone with that much need for attention has a problem. And yes, I realize it’s a comic, thank you.

Daylight savings is an act against all that’s holy and good. Nuff said.

“To Build a Fire”, Jack London. Absolutely. No name, no imagination, set in Alaska.
