That would be because you’re still drinking a poor quality tea. The fanciest kettle in the world can’t improve on quality of leaf.

Dear Betty, if you don’t know what it’s for, chances are you don’t need it.

Don’t take instructions of water temperature on different kinds of tea too seriously. Use them as a starting point and then experiment with hotter or colder. People don’t all have the same preference.

As for the Keurig comment… I stayed in a hotel with one of those once. Absolutely without a doubt the worst cup of tea I’ve ever had the misfortune to taste. I shall never want to have such a contraption in my house.

Egrayj, when my aunt died last year, her son took photos of the casket and the flowers and also of the flowers at the graveyard. She was cremated, and the graveyard had a great big tree in it, where the flowers would be placed after the ceremony. There were loads of flowers. (We’re big on flowers in this country) He did it for himself and his sister so that, although it was a sad occasion they would have this last moment of their mother’s life journey documented. We don’t have open caskets in this country. The lid is screwed on. Nobody else took photos.

True fact! It’s hard to pay attention to what someone is saying when you’re trying hard to see them. I have the same problem if people are talking to me while they’re in front of a window with strong sunlight coming through so all I can see of them is a silhouette.

I only discovered it now. I remember these from earlier. My email seem to be the official strips like Sherlock Watson posted a link to above.

How come this is not the same strip I received in my email?

Firstly, just because it hasn’t been said, doesn’t mean they don’t feel it. My husband didn’t say it when he proposed either, but he’s said it plenty of other times. I haven’t said it to him very often. It’s not me to say that sort of thing out loud and it was very difficult for me to do it the first time. Saying that was, for me, an extremely private and intimate thing to do. He knows I love him. I know he knows it. I find other ways to tell him that don’t use words. These are not words to be squandered needlessly or they will lose their value. So for Evie and Arnold not to say it out loud? I honestly cannot for the life of me see the problem.

Secondly, who are they smiling at, so why smile at all? They are smiling because they just got married. It made them happy. Don’t you ever smile if something makes you happy?

I really don’t know what sort of ‘inconsistency’ you are seeing here.

No woman I know dresses in any particular way for men specifically. They dress because they think what they’re wearing looks nice.
We’re only a few steps away from the ‘women who wear sexy clothes are at fault if they’re raped’ fallacy here.
