I went to acasino and played a horse-themed slot machine. It paid off well. I guess just like real horses, the machine can sense the player’s true feelngs toward it.

It annoys me whenever a story about animal suffering pops up and some try to change the subject to human suffering. I’d rather talk about the suffering of innocents, whether they be human or animal as long as we can all agree that humans are responsible for all the suffering.

Pluto does sometimes come inside the orbit of Neptune, but that Mars, Jupiter thing is wrong. There’s even an asteroid belt. And the next draft planet after Pluto is Eris, so…

At first I thought that said “Mondays”. So yeah I figured 281 years and there was some kind of dog year/ human year conversion discrepancy. But then I thought what is a dog year? Is it the amount of time it takes a dog to circle a fire hydrant? And a dog day? The amount of time it takes a dog to make a full rotation in chase of his own tail? If dogs behaved like planets, you’d think they could change their climate in response to flea activity. But not even planets do that.

My Haflinger looks like a short stout Mister Ed with a mohawk. Everyone tells me he’s the cutest horse they’ve ever seen, so Horace has a lot of changes to make. But as a horse, he’s automatically cuter than everything that’s not a horse.

How many more ways can Glenn McCoy do the “horses are in dog food” gag? No, really! It never gets old. I want to be a normal human being who delights in the suffering of our most loyal companions. Often at the hands of dogs. For the record, I like dogs just fine, but they’re no horse. And if you run the numbers, the idea of horses being used as any kind of food or material on a large scale is absurd. Thus the absurdity of this joke. But it’s still not funny.

Horses have souls. I know plenty of humans who don’t. They all happen to be horse-haters and dinosaurs.

Saw this in Sherpa and read all the strips there. Wondered if that was actually a deer or an antlered horse. Question wasn’t answered until now. Got it.

Sadly, it does happen. There are rescue groups that do their best to prevent it for as many horses as possible. But so long as there’s greed and a pop culture that constantly makes light of equine suffering, kill buyers will always be a threat.

So, what you’re saying is that cultures that eat horse have a distorted view of beauty? That’s a nice way of putting it.
