    …oh, Duh! Milk-cartons. A milk-carton Peterbilt would be cute!!

…which raises an interesting question: How would one MacGyver a Peterbilt from a bunch of found objects you’d typically find in a restaurant waste-bin?

UPDATE!! Exciting news! My poster made it into the Whistle Stop Ale House’s “Bicycles and Beer” Art Show after all! Gotta go get that thing framed, and dropped off in lovely downtown Renton, WA.

…thanks, everyone! I squeaked in under the deadline with just minutes to spare. Haven’t heard back from the jurors yet, but even if I don’t make it into the show, it was a lot of fun— more importantly, my hand-drawing/painting skills aren’t as rusty as I’d feared. Generating art on a computer daily makes one wonder sometimes!

…done! The paint’s not even completely dry yet, ha-ha. Just a few minor touch-ups left, and then I can call it a day ;D

…at this point, the painting’s more than halfway done, believe it or not!

…I can still remember my 5th grade teacher reading that book to us during lunch-hour.

…a-a-aaand the countdown is on! The deadline for submitting a photo of my poster entry is midnight tonight; will I make it??
This is the final version with the line-art already painted in. The camera pic quality is atrocious, so it’s hard to see that the outlines are done in dark blue (just a personal preference, really).
I’m planning on staying up all night to get as much done as possible before having to go in to work. I’ll post more pics of how things went over the next few days.

Thanks, Plods with Beer! And Badger, you’re pretty close! This should be the final image. First it was a mouse, and then I changed it to a squirrel. But that immediately made me think of Rocky (of Rocky ’n Bullwinkle fame), so I changed it to a bat, to stick with the “B” theme.
