    It seems to me that learning to write and read cursive is a bit like learning to drive a manual transmission. It’s simple to get by without the skill in today’s world, but adding that ability to one’s life makes you far more flexible and versatile.

    I’m not a golfer, but I am a pastor, and I know many clergy who golf religiously. Their consensus, however, is that it does no good praying on the golf course since God deigns not to intervene in that particular venue.

    Of course, graphite pencils have always been lead-free. Well, the core for writing never had the element lead in it… but sometimes the paint on the outside of the pencil contained lead and could lead to poisoning… So, yes, the inventor’s genius was truly pointless.

    During my military career I met very few people who felt like this—extremely few. And, of course, those who did feel that way should have been discharged. True warriors do not love war.

    Funny. Living across Puget Sound from Seattle I love it when this image is promoted—cuts down on immigration. Actually, six months of the year the area’s rainfall is above the national average. Six months it’s below the national average. Love the strip!
