    Would it have anything to do with the thousands of shoes lined up in Paris after the protest re climate change was cancelled? Search for the words SHOES LINED UP PROTEST and limit the search to “within the past month” to see various news stories about it….

    …it’s path… means “it is path.” The possessive “its” doesn’t take an apostrophe.

    I agree! The change in American spoken English from “number” to “amount” happened so quickly — hardly anyone uses them correctly these days.

    If you think waiting at the P.O. takes a long time, just try your local Social Security office — at least here in the big city where I live. A 5-minute transaction can take 2.5 hours’ waiting!!

    @d_johns13 — recent news articles have reported that because their eyes are glued to glass screens, preventing their practicing in-person human interaction, a whole generation of younger adults is having trouble making eye contact and interacting well enough to do work dealing with the public, so you are RIGHT.
