I agree. I’ve said for quite a while now that The Don has no interest in actually being POTUS. To be charitable, he’s acting like the Bridezilla from Hell who is totally into being a bride, but who, the day after the wedding, has no interest in being a wife. Think he’s ever going to show us any of his tax returns? Think again. And the very idea that Herr Drumpf would be expected to take up temporary residence in the White House? Ha! That’d be slumming in a FEMA trailer in a bad neighborhood by Trumpolini’s standards. And how you gonna keep him down at Camp David after he’s seen Mar-a-Lago? But worse still, Presidents have traditionally put all of their holdings and investments in a blind trust. Think that will happen this time? Clearly, tRump doesn’t want the job and I say he’s going to bail, or maybe be paid off as some have suggested, before the election.

Oh, relax. We’re not hating on you, we’re laughing at you. And we’ll laugh even harder when you shoot yourself in the foot, or worse, with all those guns you think you need. Guns are far worse than useless against laughter.

I’ve been saying this for months, and I’m standing by it. Don the Con can’t possibly tolerate being a yuuge loser, so here’s what I bet will happen. At just the right moment, perhaps just after he’s finally been nominated at the Trumpublican convention, and after he’s been thoroughly dissed by much of the GOTP establishment, tRump’s “acceptance” speech will simply be “Ha! Ha! I’m a winner and you’re all a sorry bunch of losers! You’ve been punked! I’m outta here!” Then he’ll jump in his helicopter and watch in the rear view mirror as the convention and the whole revolting (in every sense of the word) TeapubliKlan Party goes up in flames. It would be a master stroke on his part, and I believe him to be capable of it. Moreover, it would be a long time before the TrumperNutters trusted another demagogue. And even though he’d have to fortify his properties, The Don would surely go down in history like no other, his reputation, such as it is, in some measure restored. Oh, and Hillary would owe him some yuuge favors, excellent favors, the best. Win-win for Herr Drumpf and Hillary, not so much for me and thee.

    Sure, assuming they’re moral cripples.

Well, natch! One shouldn’t have to pay for health care until it’s needed just like one shouldn’t have to pay for Social Security until IT’S needed.

Sadly, even in the age of Obamacare, far too many of us live in dread of coming home from the hospital both unhealthy and bankrupt.

Yup. Looks like it’s gonna be a hot time in old Cleburg on the North Shore this year! The Cuyahoga burns again, and you can pop your popcorn by setting the bowl in front of the TV.

To be sure, bullet ants are the all-time Queens of Pain. They are true ants, however, while the velvet ant is actually a very peculiar wasp packing a hellacious sting (they’re call “Cow-Killers” for a reason). Velvet ants are found often, but not commonly, throughout the U. S., and they are an excellent reason not to go walking barefoot through the grass. Both velvet and bullet ants are, of course, hymenopterans and members of the same suborder Apocrita, and thus share many similarities.

Allergic reaction is the most significant cause of sting deaths, but a few are simply the result of a massive stinging attack, especially by aggressive Africanized bee colonies. One occurred last month in Arizona.

I shan’t miss an opportunity to be didactic. Besides, I really like cicada-killer wasps.
