I’d say in terms of lack of progress they’re tied.

Perfectly depicted. The Democrats are the party of big government. The Republicans are the party of big business. It’s been that way for a long time, but they put on a good show to make the people think that the fight is Republican vs. Democrat, and many of the people still buy it. The people will not regain the the power that they are entitled to by law until they figure out where the fight really is.

I’m with the dude in the comic. They’re just insufferable.

The driver has a seat belt because there is nothing between the driver and the windshield, so the driver is likely to be ejected in a crash.
The kids do not because the seats are designed in such a way to restrain the kids in a crash. The concept is called “compartmentalization”, and the records prove that this restraint system is very effective. If you do the research, you will find that the school bus is far and away the safest vehicle on the road.
The lion’s share of fatalities involving kids riding the bus occur not on the ride, but on getting on and off the bus. Other drivers being careless and disregarding the red lights on that bus are a far bigger danger to a child than the bus ride will ever be.
So, instead of sinking tax dollars into seat belts, which will prove to be of little benefit to bus riders’ safety, let us instead sink tax dollars into improving safety when children get on and off the bus – more aggressive traffic enforcement, physical barriers, and other measures that will save far more lives than seat belts on the bus ever will.

Wow Steve you really stepped in it this time. You do know that one of these stories has been outright discredited, and the other one seems to be on its way there, and you’re trying to see them as truth. Who is the whopper king now?

braindead08 – nice try, but you know good and well that to a Democrat, if a Democrat does it, it’s okay, and that to a Republican, if a Republican does it, it’s okay. It’s an old game. As far as I am concerned they are different wings on the same bird.

The tire was flat before he rolled it off the lot. He’s a bigger disappointment than Romney was.

Only Fox News? That’s proof positive that some folks only see what they want to see.
The truth is that all the majors are this way. The money is in the ratings, so that’s the first one. Then it is politics, usually slanted in the direction of the politics of the person running the network.

The race hustlers are just opportunists looking to exploit problems and situations for their own personal gain. They have no interest in solving said problems or making the situation better because if they do, they lose that which they seek to gain.

Of course Iran appears cooperative. They’re lying again as they have before.
