@r2varney: The “pigeon” is actually a dove, and doves are white. Looks like “racism” comes in all colors….. :( Yes, I know, some are grey, but the normal depiction of the dove of peace is customarily white.

The questions you ask are quite valid, and the answers are all found in scripture.

    1. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin. God provided animal skins for Adam and Eve in the garden, blood was shed that their shame might be covered. The death of Jesus on the cross was not to help us, it was to save us.
    2. The psalmist says, the wicked will receive what they have coming, they shall not escape.
    3. It has everything to do with Jesus’ death. Because God’s creation, man, willfully disobeyed God’s instructions in the Garden of Eden we became subject to his rule, the soul that sins shall die. Jesus came to earth, lived a sinless life to qualify as the sacrifice, spotless and without blemish, that was acceptable to God to redeem creation from their sin and make them once more acceptable to God, forgiven and made righteous not because of our effort, but because of the work of Christ on the cross.

Do not despair my friend. the evil will get what they have coming, the righteous will get theirs too.
