This must be gluten-free day in some of the comics. See B.C.

The only strip I have seen that puts this day into perspective. Thank you. I agree with Jeff0811, he is not a loser today.

It’s interesting that Frazz has the same subject today.

Today’s strip reminds me of the Mad magazine artists, especially Jack Davis and Bill Elder.

Charlie, Dragon Lady was Terry (and the Pirates) ’s nemesis. Same artist, but different character.

I very seldom comment on this forum or any other, but I have had responses to my posts from those who comment on a regular basis. I have never sensed a “clique.” True, several have developed a close friendship and there is nothing wrong with that. There are several who also post throughout the day. So what? That is their hobby and they contribute so much to the Tracyverse by their knowledge of the strip. I enjoy reading their comments. In fact, of the 40 or so strips that I read daily, this is the only board that I read all of the comments.

David, Mandrake’s evil twin was Derek. Lothar was his large friend that wore a little hat shaped like a bell-boy’s cap.

I found this site about 1 year before Team Tracy took over the DT reins. At first, I scanned the comments sections of several strips. I soon stopped reading them all except DT comments. And Vista Bill has been one of the main reasons I have daily stopped at this wonderful family of friends and experts. Happy Birthday to a classy gentleman! May he have many, many more.

VB, I don’t post much, but I am nearing 77. You have me beat by four. But I too remember discovering the comics in the Golden Age: Dick Tracy, Little Orphan Annie, Smilin’ Jack, Captain Easy, Terry and the Pirates (and Steve Canyon later), Li’l Abner, and several others including my favorite Sunday strip Prince Valiant. Now-a-days the only strip that I read the comments section is Dick Tracy. This is the best revitalization of a strip that I have ever seen, and the information that I find in the comments section is so helpful.

Just wanted to comment on the ‘visit’ by Ms. Steffihawk to see Johnny at the hospital. Since the beating was staged, and Tracy is about to stage the arrest of T-Bolt, couldn’t Johnny have staged his hospital stay by spending a day or so in the hospital? Or, Ms. Steffihawk could have been denied a visit by the hospital staff if authorities had told them to do so. That happens all the time.
