    @ BluePumpkin
You are correct in what you said, but there really aren’t many people who actually want to go back in time and make things the way they were in the 40’s and 50’s. People who choose to interpret conservative policy that way are simply filtering the things they hear to say what they want.
We’ve come a long way in many areas but have gone in the wrong direction in others.
My earlier post was pretty clear. Nobody should object to:
" a return to lower taxes, greater freedoms, reasonable regulations and more personal responsibility."
    But I appreciate your comment.

Of course there are some people who are racist and sexist, but the conservative belief system includes neither. It calls for a return to lower taxes, greater freedoms, reasonable regulations and more personal responsibility. To say they want to return to racism and sexism is nothing but a lie propagated by the liberals. It appears from the responses written above that if you tell a lie often enough, people will believe it.

Romney’s job cuts were peanuts compared to what Obama did to GM. He gutted the company’s employment rolls. Even worse, some of its cars now being made overseas.

Our national debt has just exceeded 100% of GDP. I’m angry at our congress for not thinking that is serious enough to get something done about over spending. All they do is play politics. Look at the post office situation. The post office needs a bailout of how many billions. Some years ago the post office came to Congress saying that they are losing too much money and they need to close some marginal post offices and stop Saturday delivery. Congress said, “Not on my watch you won’t.” You see, these politicians are more interested in getting votes than they are in caring for the country.

Lila absolutely does have a moral code. I remember how she felt guilty having to play up to doctors when she was selling pharmaceuticals. Her problem is that she has no will power and is somewhat irresponsible.
Now why she is marrying the doctor is something that the comic has yet to adequately explain. I wish it would, I realize there have been hints that it is money.

Hi, Roosevelt was a great president in some ways but he badly mishandled the depression.

I think you are the ones who have been studying revisionist history. The source of my information comes from the Walter Williams web site. He is an economics professor at George Mason University and quite well known. Check his web site.
The title of the paper he wrote was “Ominous Parallels Between Obama, Roosevelt Grow”.

During the Great Depression, the economy was improving and then FDR had the National Recovery Act passed. It attempted to micromanage almost every price and salary in the country. It quickly destroyed the economy and was found unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. By the time the economy was beginning to again recover, he passed the Wagner act. Wonderful for labor unions, hell for business and the economy tanked again. It was this nations’s first depression within a depression.
Roosevelt’s New Deal called for spending 10 billion when the government’s income was only 3 billion. From 1933 to 1936 federal debt rose 83%.
Even Roosevelt’s own Treasury secretary, Henry Morganthau said that spending money does not work. He added that after 8 years of this administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started.
Obama is copying Roosevely. Yet, Lukovich thinks we need to blame Bush. He is so wrong.

Obama got Bin Laden by simply continuing the work started by Bush. That is no secret. Of course, Obama takes all the credit for himself.

So Newt is a party man. So what. Do you think any Democrat in that situation would do anything differently. These political cartoons are unbelieveably one sided.
