You erred in the right direction – nothing tragic about that.
Erring the other way leads some to far more tragic consequences.

And, his other Indian cousin – Masala.
    Don’t forget her.

It’s dead, whatever it is. Rotting meat is a smell that lingers.

But, he’d make a great first responder.
It was only after Mom took over that Red crashed.
An adrenaline spike can cause that.

Absolutely agree with you. Often it is an administrator or (sometimes) a teacher who perpetuates the bullying – indirectly or directly.
As several other people have commented above – children learn by example.

    Absolutely true!
The odor is not just on them, but in them, exuding from them with every breath.

There could be a lot of reasons.
Most likely: the opportunity to be in management positions has only (relatively) recently opened up to women.
I worked for 30+ years in a position that was (and still is) considered a ’man’s occupation.’
It was a technical job but also somewhat of a dead end position and extremely hard for anyone, male or female to advance from. Given that and that less than 2 percent of all those in my position were female, it’s reasonable to believe that only the very best or the worst might advance.
The best would advance on merit.
The worst because if the company couldn’t find a way to fire them, the worst would get ‘kicked upstairs.’
It is very hard for a company to fire a member of a token group.
Make no mistake, even though I had the skills required to do the job, when I was hired, it was as much because I was female.
After getting the job, I still had to earn the respect of my, mostly male, colleagues. I did that by listening, learning and mastering the details of my position.
I didn’t advance into management. (The added stress was not equal to the compensation.) In the end, I became one of the ‘old soldiers’ that managers rely on as a retention pool for expertise.
(Until the company morphed with another, management philosophically changed direction and the old guard became a liability – or, in other words, I became too old and too expensive.)

I am sorry. It was a poor (very poor) attempt at humor.

    Yes that is true.
