    This would have covered a full newspaper page in 1906 – very easy to read.

    If you are looking for conventional jokes in this strip you won’t find many. A lot of early 20th C. humor was about non sequitur lines and deadpan reactions. Anyhow, this strip was primarily a vehicle for Feinningers draftsmanship
