I don’t really see why TR should have descended into being a Clinton campaign worker, when just about everyone considered Clinton to be a sure thing while presenting innumerable KICK ME targets. In fact the media generally conducted an all-out war on Trump, and it wasn’t effective, so I don’t know what one satirical cartoonist was supposed to do.

The far Left and the far Right are the only political categories not involved in the present election disaster.

This is funny. Years ago I had a friend who arranged her life exactly like this, including the last panel! But then after dating for years the two of them spoiled it all by running away together.

Yes, the good old Communist Party of the USA, with two or three dozen ancient but semi-active members, decided to support Clinton. A sad betrayal of all they once claimed to stand for, but there it is. Anyone heard from the Temperance Party?

Smaller parties, like the Greens, do run candidates in local elections.

I think Mr. Rall’s point is not that the situation in the US is equal to the Third Reich, but that you can easily put the arguments of racists into a Nazi context without alteration, for example, ‘What about Jew on Jew violence?’ For racists, this means their arguments are no longer entertaining, and they should come up with some new ones. Too limited mentally? Work harder, guys!

Clinton voted in favor of the invasion of Iraq, which was a war crime by the standards of the Nuremberg War Crimes trials. Given her supposed powers, intelligence, experience, and connections, it is very difficult to believe that she didn’t know that the justification for the war was bogus. She was, then, almost certainly an informed, willing accomplice before the fact, that is, guilty of participating in a war crime. I don’t see this as being much different from the other war criminals of the era such as Bush, Cheney, Rice, Powell, Rumsfeld, and so on. Of course the facts could only be established positively by a formal war crimes trial, which we will never have, so we have to go by what we can observe. Her political behavior since 2002 shows that she is enthusiastic about military operations and indifferent to both practical and moral objections to them.

To vote for a criminal is to attach oneself morally to their criminality. Your vote will probably not change the outcome of the election, but it might change you.

Unfortunately, she is one of the problems. She is certainly a warmonger, and is possibly an outright war criminal by the standards of the Nuremberg War Crimes trials. I don’t see anything insane in calling attention to the fact that she supported to murder of hundreds of thousands people in Iraq and elsewhere not as necessity, but simply for political advantage. Yes, Trump has indicated he would act similarly. It is morally impossible to vote for either of them.

Strategic voting has always been pointless with regard to the outcome of elections, but it makes the voters who practice it feel savvy and important. This is especially gratifying to marginal-group voters such as those who call themselves ‘progressives’, since they can have endless discussions and arguments about it, producing great quantities of verbiage.

Both of them are dangerous. Clinton is a war freak and a plutocrat, and nobody knows what Trump is. Clinton’s machine has handed us a choice between two monsters.
