No apology needed for me. I just responded to make it clear I was a better student than my teachers ever gave me credit for.

I know exactly what you mean and you’ve just given me some great ideas for some new cartoons, though I don’t intend to EVER make fun of Auschwitz or WWII or any other conflict or genocidal event.

My son did a two-year stint as clinical law professor at Georgetown Law School and he complained of the same kinds of things you do, so I feel you’re in very good company. Thanks for doing something about it.

I used to quiz my kids on history and I was amazed at how little they were learning. For example, when the Civil War occurred, who we fought in WWI and WWII and what Alexander the Great did with Darius’ family when he beat the crap out of the Persians… I’m just glad we do have teachers like you who really do care!

And thanks for reading this much less than historic cartoon!

Yes… and see below for 1766 reference. Full circle, my amphibious friend.

And thanks for reading this party pooping cartoon!

I thought about something like that, but the problem was how would people in 1776 know what 1799 would have been like? What if they lost… mmmm…. might not have been a party. I supposed I could have used 1699, but then did Puritans really party?

Again, thanks for reading this poorly referenced cartoon!

You don’t say? Wow, it’s almost like it was an actual historical reference… to a Prince song. Thanks for taking the time to look it up.

And thanks for reading this taxing cartoon!

I didn’t go to no good school no how, so’s I don’t really git what yer saying. Carunists aren’t berry edumacated, so we make splendiferous mistakies. Sorry to have lit you down, but thanks for reeding this dumm kartune.

You are correct about the preamble, etc., sir; however, had I tried to fit “when in the course…”, I doubt many readers would have fully made the connection. Hence, I used ‘artistic license,’ which is rampant in this stupid cartoon. I was educated once, but not well.

And thanks for reading this misquoted cartoon!

Working on a Shikamoo toon… Clever take on today’s feature.

JP – YOU win the insight prize for hidden meanings today! I am truly impressed!! Nice catch. I can’t believe how much you all can see. I keep thinking I’m doing very good job of hiding stuff and you keep finding it! I will never hold an Easter egg hunt with you!

And thanks for reading this commanding cartoon!
