I remember getting a baseball signed when I was a kid. I have no idea where it is anymore because no one put any value on it. And it didn’t cost me anything. So that’s why they make you pay now! Instant value!

I just heard a story from a coworker who’s father flew the Nazi flag for a while. He was made to take it down, too. She was proud of her father for flying the flag and didn’t see anything wrong with it.

I read about the idiot that shot the firework off his head, too. I don’t know why I’m so surprised. Inventive new ways to kill oneself. He was 22 so there’s a chance he’ll still qualify for a Darwin Award.

I love Shaun the Sheep! And there were some Wallace and Gromit computer games, too, that came out after the cartoon, that were quite enjoyable. Oh, I’m middle aged, too. ug.

and yet, she got it, laughed, and grew closer due to his response. Strange how that works. At least you would think so.

My dogs, when I had two, did something similar to Susan’s. They chased after a deer in the woods. They soon lost it, and became lost. There was a light snow on the ground I used to track them, and I found them cowering under an RV, by a house a long ways down the road. They never did it again.

I haven’t heard of not eating some things because they’re not alive. Perhaps having to do with intelligence, not life. Most of the issues boil down to abuse and health and has nothing to do with living, or intelligence. I’ve never heard of a stalk of corn being abused (GMO aside, which is another issue). Chickens, on the other hand, wind up in the news because of it. Eating a pig is the same as eating a dog. Actually, pigs are more intelligent. People acutally eat dolphins, too, though it’s not as wide spread as it was.

Baffles don’t work so well where I live. They just jump from nearby objects. I’ve seen squirrels walk across a clothes line, then jump on top of a feeder. If there’s ANYTHING nearby that’s higher, they use it. And there’s little open space here.

I’ve seen people translate LOL as lots of laughs. It’s only recent that I’ve seen this, so I guess it’s just people trying to be different.

@Recon It’s spelled correctly in Esperanto. Also, when it got used in the Terminator movies, it sorta became a thing to say. You can’t stop culture. At this point, it’s been said for decades. Welcome back to Earth.
