Elaborate trick – they’re on a school bus with other kids. Must be a dream sequence.

Between this kid and the Spumanti brothers, it’s clear that Italian kids in Philadelphia are some kind of menace.

Am battline leukemia right now – Dana Farber has your book in their library, which I read in one sitting and which has inspired me not to surrender, even a moment. Blessings to you for bringing this story to the world, an your Mom and your family for living it courageously.

Have said it before – why are fathers in this strip always such buffoons? Does no HS athlete have a well-adjusted hardworking dad?!

It is honest, Brian. I smoked heavily for 20+ years and quit five years ago, but now have leukemia which they tell me isn’t related to tobacco but I’m not entirely convinced. Addiction isn’t about reason or intelligence, as I’m sure you’ve figured out.

Heavy smoker of many years. It’s insidious. And gets you when you’re abotu 16 and therefore immortal. You know intellectually it’s idiotic, but addiction ain’t about brains. (If it were, then Mr. Obama, who as far as we know still smokes on the sly, would be considered a dope.)
