RWM, I am an amateur psychiatrist, getting my OJT in the real world and I suspect you are getting pressure from somewhere. My instinct tells me you have been what we call “Cutoff”. Tell your wife, girlfriend, inflatable doll, or whatever suits you that you are sorry for the bad attitude and to please ""turn you back on". Once that happens, I bet your posts will be more pleasant. There! I saved you an hour at the shrink’s office. You are welcome!

Sydney, I would give my right arm to get eleven inches, but alas that was in Houston proper and to the northwest of Houston. I live in League City (25 mi south) and got about 1/2" of rain. Galveston got no rain. My prayers go out for that family in Wimberly, though. As of now, they don’t know how many people died, as a lot are still missing. Thanks for the kind words.

You know John, like you said, gold blinds men to the point where they lose their senses is equally matched by lipstick and perfume!

How can Ted’s digs cave in if the lake is drained? It isn’t on floating pontoons, is it?
Meanwhile, depending on how deep the lake is, they might find the 1924 heist gold, though! That ought to satisfy Jimmy enough that he can get rid of that slot car controller and get him a Glock.

To veterans, their friends, and families that lost it all, that would be a nice tribute.

I am completely ignorant on the subject, but salt mining in the US doesn’t seem like this as depicted. I’d think that salt reclamation would come in either open pit or an enclosed process plant environment. But, who am I to say? If I was smart enough to answer these type questions, I’d be on Jeopardy making money instead of blogging with Gweedo, Av, and the gang!

EXACTLY, Ray! I was thinking myself they would find a sunken old Chris Craft woodie loaded down with 90-yr old loot!
