    Funny you should mention that. It seems that Jesus was actually born in June or so, but the early Church moved the celebration to December to counter the Roman Saturnalia.

    Check out Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods, especially the post-intermission part. (The original musical; I’m not familiar with the Disney version.)
