Just like every question in the world: The answer is “It depends on who you ask”

Those are some very competent ways to shut down competitors that he’s written down, there.

What’s the most exquisite thing a complainer can complain about? Other people’s complaints. And then, being a complainer he should complain about the answer. And does.

More fun to do both. Most of them do.

Today is the big St. Jude Marathon. They’re raising ten millions dollars today in Memphis. Pretty neat.

I’m going to build a little cabin out of Duluth and L.L. Bean catalogs. I’ll use shredded Target circulars as mortar. Another week, and I’ll have enough to start.

    Hahahahahahahahaahahahahahaha!

No, I can unreservedly say that the syndicate doesn’t tell us anything to write jokes about- unless you’re talking about those events where we’re all supposed to mention how important reading is on National Reading Day. As far as just regular everyday writing… there’d never be any point to asking various cartoonists to make sure and mention… TV remote controls or something.

The odds would seem to be against it, but most folks on GoComics have seen it happen to many times to think it’s uncommon. I will say that I don’t coordinate with, or even talk to, any other syndicated comic strippers on any kind of basis. We generally speak a few times a year, and I don’t know that I’ve ever spoken with the creator of Ben. Keep your eyes open, though… chances are even better that other strips with older characters, Lola comes to mind of course, will mention remotes with too many buttons throughout the year. Add ‘em all up, and you start to see that two having a similar cartoon on the same day isn’t that much of a stretch. On the other hand- read only cartoons about younger people, and chances are you won’t see a TV remote gag at all.

We have a big ol’ German Shepherd. He assumes that everyone in the park would like a turn petting him. People assume that he would like to eat everyone in the park. Until he rolls on his back and expects belly rubs. Then everyone thinks he’s an idiot.

Happy Thanksgiving to those of us in the US. To everyone else- Happy Thursday! Eat a lot of food and watch sports on TV, then it’s sort of Thanksgiving where you are too! And you gotta say “thanks” for all the stuff you like in your life.
