    I’m not White. I’m Italian. Which is, of course, technically, white. But if Hispanic isn’t, why is my Latin- romance language speaking heritage considered, White? Sometimes I wonder why that is, just between u and me.

    EXPLAINATION: “Characters” in the punch line refers to the people attending the wedding. “Characters” as defined:
    “Moral character or character is an evaluation of a particular individual’s stable moral qualities. The concept of character can imply a variety of attributes including the existence or lack of virtues such as empathy, courage, fortitude, honesty, and loyalty, or of good behaviors or habits.” Get it. See what I did there is took you to a place where you thought “Characters” referred to letters and spaces in a written entry… and then, bam! The reveal in the gag is that we’re talking about PEOPLE. Like, “That guy! What a character!” Sigh… but as they say, if ya gotta explain it…
