I’d been missing the alt text in this GoComics version of Dino Comics, but now I see it’s down here in the comments! Hello, Ryan!

The colorist here is as lazy as Zonker himself. The storyline is about the epic that that Z has built up over a multi-year professional career! Come on! Color him brown!!

I had an incinerator in my backyard growing up in Denver in the 1970s. But it was a relic of an earlier age (50s, I’m guessing). We never used it, and in fact we took it down during a renovation in the mid-80s.

I’m thinking this is a ref to GHWB as VP. I don’t recall him doing very much smiling. Marginalized by Reagan’s White House staff, he was, indeed, a grumpy old poop.

Yes, Durandal_1707. My thought exactly. Nice self-reference, surely an early instance of what would become an avalanche of self-ref humor in the 90s.

Would have been better if she were an agent. I’m getting sick of the “debauched/morally compromised sexpot” is driven by desire for the hero to do something right for once in her life.

It’s a clever turnabout, sure, but when it happens every other storyline it becomes more than a bit tiresome.

It’s the little pointed hook on the end that stings!

The letter’s from the strip’s colorist—to say he’s gone on strike!

Not “… gone over to The Far Side”?
