    When my boys were little I always gave them a reason (hold my hand in the parking lot so a car won’t smoosh you). Later, they just assumed there was a reason. Now, I just tell them and it gets done.

    When I read a biography about Van Gogh, I was wondering the same thing. You can’t paint 24 hours a day. If your’re hungry, find a job and paint on your off hours.

    Calvin can’t add 2+5. If he were my kid, I’d sit down with him and help him. I know this is just a comic strip but I’ve seen too many parents who have kids but don’t know how to raise them.
