I seem to remember a similar note that Linus’ mom put in his sack lunch and his remarking, “Mom thinks she’s a card.”

I did that one year that I couldn’t be home for Halloween. When I got back, even the bowl the candy was in was gone.

Melville was a horrible writer. Along with Moby Dick, I read Billy Budd, which was an unfinished, relatively short book, and it was just as bad. I remember reading that he had started a correspondence with Emerson (I think), and after a long-winded letter to him about writing, etc., Emerson wrote back asking Melville if he could find a certain type of boot for one of Emerson’s sons. I thought that was telling.

I learned long ago in college to not assume where a Hispanic/Latino person is from (or for that matter – anyone) and just be quiet because I’d eventually learn; it would come out during the course of normal conversation. Some guy called a Paraguayan woman Mexican, and he got a pretty loud and intense (yet somehow still sexy) verbal thrashing for it.

After all the racist heat that Sebastien De La Cruz got for singing the National Anthem during the NBA Finals, the only thing that could make this strip better would be if they were all holding boxes of Cheerios.

Yep, that’s all the talent it would take to reproduce one.

And they say that it was Sheb Wooley of, “Purple People Eater,” fame who recorded the scream.

I found Mexico City’s metro to be very efficient.
