    The experiments that resulted in the female mantis eating the male’s head during mating were flawed…they hadn’t fed them for a long time. Feed them and they don’t eat their mates. Spiders, now, that’s a different story.

    What puzzles me is that this nonsense makes a big splash, while studies showing that the mercury content of swamp water is directly related to the amount of homosexual courting and nesting behavior in the birds living in the swamp is never mentioned.

    Actually if you flush with the lid up, tiny droplets of water are splattered for quite a distance, including the ceiling.

    You do not absorb cholesterol, the molecule is too big. Chemicals found in margarine and other highly processed foods damage the walls of your blood vessels and cause the liver to create cholesterol to coat the damaged sections. Nitrates in smoked and cured meats also do the same kind of damage.

    I got a crochet hook like the clear glass pen. I would have gotten the pen and ink bottle set, but I don’t do enough writing to justify it.

    Yes, they do. And instead of being light and crunchy, they are like eating damp cardboard. Of course, many people feel they are like eating damp cardboard that’s slightly crunchy even at their best.
