The US was using helium at that time. The Germans couldn’t get helium because the US had the helium and would not sell it to Germany.

I remember all of it. I still have my first VCR I ever bought and about 300 VHS video tapes. I have a working VCR and I plan on copying all the ones I can’t find on DVD to DVD’s. Up until about a year ago I was using a VCR to tape things I wanted to watch later.

Reminds me of a Halloween while my father was stationed in Alaska. My friend and I went to the house for the commanding general of the base. When we went into the porch, there were two huge bowls sitting on a table. The house keeper was there and told us to take one from each bowl. In the bowls were the small orange and brown candies. That is cheap.

I remember hitting a bird that took off right in front of my car when I was in England. I looked in my rear view mirror and all I saw was a whole bunch of feathers.

I was flying one on a windy day in Alaska when I was a kid. I added two extra balls of string and it was a long way from us. You could barely see the kite in the distance when the string finally broke and the kite set itself free.

Hardees is the worst. The sandwich they show on TV is about 4 inches tall. When you get one, it is about 1 and 1/2 inches.
