    Yes. After we met, I “saw” my future husband for [part of] 9 days in a whole year before we got married. there were 9 people present, not a very elaborate ceremony but in a church. We were married 49 1/2 years before he passed. So much for all those grand plans for THE big day!! I was 18, he was 21 but we both were willing to do three important things for each other. listen, love and compromise.

    I don’t ‘get’ it either Ken. But I DO see the need for some compromising here…and fast! The old metaphor “you can’t see the trees for the forest” sounds true here.
