Only in America can we have Trick or Treat made so lazy. I mean, if you’re worried about poison candy, just don’t accept any from your parents. So far, the only reported cases of poison candy were those from fathers who wanted to kill their own children and blame the neighbors.

To quote wikipedia, that quotes the strip creator of Krazy Kat: When filmmaker Frank Capra, a fan of the strip, asked Herriman to straightforwardly define the character’s sex, the cartoonist admitted that Krazy was “something like a sprite, an elf. They have no sex. So that Kat can’t be a he or a she. The Kat’s a spirit—a pixie—free to butt into anything.”15 Most characters inside the strip use “he” and “him” to refer to Krazy, likely as a gender-neutral “he”.

Krazy’s gender was indeterminate. Sometimes referred to has he or she in the strip. In the Al Brodax cartoon, Krazy Kat was portrayed as female.
