The young and healthy ALWAYS subsidize the old and sick. That is how insurance works. It’s called a shared risk pool.

The GOP doesn’t want the people to remember that ‘Obamacare’ is actually the compromise health care reform bill developed by the Heritage Foundation. Obama wanted single-payer that took private insurance largely out of the picture.

I think Trudeau is focusing on his ‘Alpha House’ series. I wish GoComics would rerun some of the older stuff.

Y’all know this ‘toon has nothing to do with climate change, right? It’s about the Russian ‘coldness’ toward human rights.

There are about 250,000 couples on various adoption waiting lists nationwide, most have been waiting for years. There are, on average, 800,000 abortions per year in the U.S. Not only would each couple would need to adopt 3 children, but there would need to be a fresh supply of adoptive parents each and every year. I think a better approach is comprehensive relationship education and a rational approach to birth control.

This is Rumor Control: Here are the facts. Legal abortions peaked during the 80’s decade, with an average of about 1.4 million reported abortion. Since that time, yearly abortion have declined to around 800,000, with more dramatic declines among teens, so rational sexual education seems to be effective, albeit slow. Unless the anti-choice folks want to require the results of every pregnancy test to be registered with the government to ‘monitor’ successful gestation of every fertilized egg, then prohibition will do little to reduce abortion.
