This waiting, this not knowing, this staying ‘tooned,’ makes for a long weekend.

A T&T keeps sending me texts that they are going to take my 7 year old G-2 Samsung off line at the end of the year, and i have to upgrade. Oh well, I guess it is how they make their money.

Note the house under the horizon. By the time this strip was drawn, it was 50 year old comic device.

Still entertaining after a hundred years. Both the dialogue and drawing – ink work. True genius.

“Possibly a subtle appeal to woman’s instincts for bargains. " Great line!! And the flying hat as surprise. Can anyone name the strips at the bottom, they seem familiar, but no names come to mind.

‘47 huh? I’m a ’46 myself. You know, 34 years ago was 1981, so when we were born this did not seem like a really “old” strip to some. By the way, I agree with you about drawing being as important if not more than the gag, as apposed to the gag line strip of today. (Many of which I like very much.) The water explosion is fantastic.
