best thing I ever did was stop watching ALL cable news. My blood pressure went down and stayed down. And best of all, I no longer scream at the TV, or want to throw things at it

how about the AJA network. They cover world news quite well-anything is better than US networks who don’t cover any world news unless its a major disaster

I remember the Pack playing at least one game every year in Milwaukee back in the 60s. I spent most of the next 40 years out of the country. I did not know they stopped. Any idea what year that was?

I also have every book, including the original college strips.
I have enjoyed every one, and still do.

maybe an NFC/AFC sharing a stadium, but 2 AFC teams? That will never fly.
BTW, are the Chargers looking for a new stadium from San Diego? Kind of sounds like blackmail to me. Same with the Raiders. They were using some people in San Antonio who have been looking for an NFL team since they built their white elephant stadium, to get concessions from Oakland

many decades ago there was a reason, to save electricity in mornings and to get kids going to school in daylight rather than dark. There were accidents with cars hitting kids going to school back in the 50’s and early 60’s. But now, congress should get off its dead a.. and get rid of DST. It totally serves no purpose any more. I think that DST is simply running on inertia, just like a few govt programs.
    DOWN WITH DST

but that was back in the old NFL when Da Bears were good. And also when the players were somewhat shorter and maybe 100 lbs lighter

I had my dream job for 18 years until I was injured on the job and had to take early-defined-retirement when I was 48. My daily schedule is to get up late, spend two or three hours reading ny daily paper, spend a couple of hours on my computer, then read off and on until about 2am .The only TV I watch is the local news, some programs on DIY, Velocity, Science, and History 1 and 2 and TDS along with The Nightly Show and Bill Maher on HBO. To me, this is heaven on earth. I make enough with my retirement to not have to watch my spending. Life is good.
I got the travel bug out of my life when I was much younger when my wife and I visited 73 countries over 26 years, so now, in an average year we drive about 3,000 miles. My wife loves to garden and knit while watching Korean TV which she was unable to before. While we spend 24 hours a day together, we have enough different activities that we never get on each other’s nerves
