    Maybe the scarf was hanging low enough for the turtle to grab it and pull it off, along with the hat and head. That’s my guess, but then I wasn’t there.

    I say tcar-1 and statwoman know that Tortoise pretty well! I’ve never named the squirrel officially. (You know, when I draw the squirrels, I actually imagine that it’s a different one every day and nobody else in the strip even notices.)
