Mark Trail – I think he’s supposed to just observe and photograph wildlife, not intervene. But some con’t stop trying to “save”.

Other strips, there’s not much development unless it’s with Neddie and Mark, off panel. ;)

@Teh, re: Tarzan – I’ve never seen this form of narration in this strip before either, and I found it difficult to read. Much better to have the quotations in speech bubbles, and usually it’s not necessary to describe actions that you can see.

Mark Trail – Yes, Florchi, it was about a proposed industry that might contaminate the swamp.
Phantom – Doesn’t he know that it was a phone call from the Unknown Commander that led them to the capture of the gang? P took off the purple shirt when he was suffering with fever from the snake bite. It should be in the dirt near the rings. he may still be wearing the tights as underwear, which I think should make HIM, P, wonder.
Rex Morgan – May be the wrap-up of this part of the plot, ending the nursing school conflict with a message about health care professionals ignoring their own health care.

Rex Morgan – I’ve been surprised that professionals would be so overcome by this experience. Perhaps someone in academe is pretty far removed from actual life-saving.

Mark Trail – @Teh, give it time. Something bad has to happen. BTW, Mark has mentioned several times the beauty of the surroundings, but never mentioned Cherry in her bikini. What would be inappropriate to a co-worker would be quite all right to your wife.

Phantom – I’m surprised he knows, or does he just have a feeling, that his father and grandfather fought criminals. The use of gray in the thought bubbles is an effective way to indicate a dim memory.
Judge Parker – This may be a way to go back to the ranch plot for a while (I think this RV trip is more promising). Sam seems concerned about Neddie and Mark. Why?
Mary Worth – We may have a scene similar to Lu Ann today. Does anyone here read that strip?
Apt. 3G – LuAnn, remember whatsisname and his controlling family?
Rip Kirby – @Teh, do you think the baby leopard will really go to the zoo, or will this play a part in a new story?

I think 1948 is the copyright date for Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. Why doesn’t it show the name of the actual writer and artist? That would help date it, maybe.

Apt.3G – The conversation at CK today was surmising that this strip is on its last legs. One person compared it to an open casket viewing.
Judge Parker – Perhaps it shows how close they came to being caught up in the tornado.
Phantom – Even though they haven’t seen the Phantom out of costume, don’t they know he travels with a wolf?
@woodworker: the women are enamored. Mystery men with amnesia are a chick magnet (idea borrowed from CK).

Has anyone else had trouble with FTE not updating on Sunday?

Judge Parker – They could just relax and, when the rain stops, get acquainted with people. It could prove to be quite an adventure. They didn’t have a destination in mind anyway. If they think being in a trailer park is so bad, they should have never bought an RV.
Phantom – I thought the colonel had already picked up a few clues and might figure things out quickly, but today he seems clueless.
