The advice column that this panel accompanied was about a woman who, on her wedding night, accidentally blurted out her ex-boyfriend’s name.

This is the way the Sunday “Shoe” should be presented…in the three-tier format, the way the artist produced it. Now if Go Comics would only do the same to strips like “Born Loser”, “For Better Or For Worse” and “Doonesbury!”

Now THAT was different AND funny!!
I’m glad to see that Johnny Hart’s successors have been keeping his standards alive!

Hey, Mr. Myers…just thought of something.
If Broom Hilda is 1500 years old, how about devoting some strips to her past adventures? Her encounters with someone in history? Her origin? It could open the door to a whole new set of gags!
Maybe you could devote the Sunday strip to her past, while the dailies remain in the present.

My English/Lit teacher way back in high school would not let us write a story that ends in “…it was all just a dream.” I usually agree. Today’s an exception. Mike’s dream, spread out over a week, and a punch line I admit I didn’t see coming. A funny story this week, Mr. Trudeau. Good job.

I remember when this strip originally appeared long ago. It was the only time in the entire original run that Lynn let me down. Not with this strip, but with what I thought would happen the next day. I couldn’t wait to see what Elly would do about this guy…….and nothing happened! The strip moved on to something else. Dare I hope something different happens this time? Tune in tomorrow…..

I read Little Dog Lost every day, though it has never been one of my top favorites. That changes today. Of all the 9-11 related strips, this one was the best!

My only complaint: This configuation of the Sunday strip cuts off one panel. I’d rather see GoComics print it in the original three-tier format.
