I thought Dallas was a woman’s name, you know, a woman who rides in stagecoaches.

I just want to say that in a world where practically everybody would say “everybody is ad llibbing their lines” to find Calvin and Bill being grammatically and logically correct with “his lines” fills me with joy and optimism. Keep “joy”. Strike “optimism”.

What did that poor man do to these two sadists to deserve a wet towel job?

Well, they do say that scientists have discovered how to run cars on water alone. The secret formula is Andean H2O plus dead goldfish. I admit, I am sceptical.

No, Garfield sloping off adds more pathos to a pathetic situation. even his cat abandons him. Dogs don’t do that. (People might.)

But Hobbes doesn’t have whiskers, just sticky-out fur.

    We’re busy doing nothing
    Woking the whole day through
    Trying to find
Lots of things not to do
    We’re busy going nowhere
    Isn’t it just a crime?!
We’d like to be unhappy, but
We never do have the time.

Those were the days, my friends.
Now there are too many people doing nothing who would dearly love to be DOING something and EARNING something.
