Nothing like a comments section to draw out all the self-styled economic (or climate) experts who rely on Brietbart, Fox News, and InfoWars as their source material. Facts are an anathema with that crowd, education is poison; up is down and down is up as long as their sources tell them so.

Day 1 in Trump’s America: “It was a bright cold day in January, and the clocks were striking thirteen …”

Love the gum on the sole of his shoe. Nice touch.

Neutral on Pelosi, but a large swath of Americans wanted change and voted for the Orange Menace, even though what change he brings may destroy us all. Change isn’t ALWAYS good and sometimes it’s horrible. In other words:

    Hill’s Commentaries on Murphy’s Laws:

If we lose much by having things go wrong, take all possible care.If we have nothing to lose by change, relax. If we have everything to gain by change, relax. If it doesn’t matter, it does not matter.

And let me say, where it comes to the leader of the free world, it MATTERS.

The blaring of the right’s hyperbole about guns, FEMA camps, Jade Helm, etc. blocks out coherent thought. They only respond to mindless despotism, so a Trump-like figure was inevitable. Too bad they’re going drag all of us straight to Hades.

Yes, the twin drumbeats of fascism and anti-“other” are almost deafening.
