Let’s also do a timeline for the Jews… But start that one at 0AD. Yet somehow that minority group has been able to thrive – maybe because they don’t look for excuses for behaving like uncivilized thugs and drains on society.

Because Republicans are more known for tolerance and understanding??? But here is the fundamental flaw of a 2-Party “Democracy”. The US is the democratic enforcer for the world, but can’t even get it right at the home base.

So when a president disappears to Camp David for weeks at a time, that’s fine… But a golf holiday isn’t? You are correct that the world doesn’t go on holiday – but is also didn’t in the previous administrations. It’s the hypocrisy that pisses me off.

So Congress can shut down for weeks without a single peep of complaint, but the President can’t?

Fortunately, I live in Canada, where we don’t have to deal with this nonsense. So I have a slightly different perspective where blacks have assimilated into society and are not considered different. The fact is that you’ve seen the worst, I’ve seen the best. And the best result is achieved when a racial minority doesn’t make themselves out to be victims. Doesn’t make excuses for being held back. If you want people to think of you better, then BE BETTER.

As for Jackson / Sharpton, I’m not bringing them up as examples of the race, but as examples of why the divide is still there.

Your last sentence is very much right on. Your previous statements completely ignore reality. You say the Jewish community was able to retain identity – they were still segregated. Ditto for Italians and especially the Irish.

And you’re sitting here telling me there’s no such thing as "the black community? 12.6% of our population dominates the sporting culture, has a dramatically unequal presence in the music industry – and yes, Obama. But there’s no culture or community there, right?

And can people STOP bring up damn slavery already? It was abolished ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY EIGHT YEARS AGO! That’s SIX GENERATIONS!!!

“But, but, but, SLAVERY!” is just an excuse brought out by people who want nothing but an excuse as to why noting should change. Then you have a$$ hole race-baiters like Sharpton and Jackson that exist for the sole purpose of increasing the divide. They aren’t rights activists, they are self-promoters – MLK was a rights activist.

They aren’t? 40% of the prison population is black, and 21% hispanic. Compare that with population totals of 12.6% and 16.3% (plus 9% mixed race), and obviously there’s a systemic cultural issue at hand.

Has any president been respected by the modern media? And since any troll can have a global opinion, it’s just going to get worse. In my personal opinion, Obama got dealt a losing hand from the start by the TRUE worst-president-in-history.

And don’t get me wrong, I don’t WANT the black community to be prejudged… But a group can only play the victim for so long before it falls on deaf ears. Consider the Jewish community, which has been segregated against for FAR longer than blacks. But they have made themselves assets to the community, not liabilities.

Again, speaking for the racial group as a WHOLE. There are good and bad examples of every race, so bringing up Obama as the sole representative of the black community is as realistic as saying that Treyvon Martin, MLK, Tupac, Oprah or Al Sharpton are the sole representatives.

And when does the black community stand up and admit that these perceptions are caused by their own actions as a whole? If your race is the aggressor, don’t play the victim. Yes, it’s incredibly prejudicial, but how many Middle Eastern terrorists are there, but when you fly or take any form of public transportation – YOU don’t watch them a little closer? The police simply reflect where the problems in society are. So, to the black population, clean up your own act first, THEN you will get the respect you deserve and have earned.
