Thank you for this post, also. Many ranchers and farmers seem to have difficulty seeing anything other than their profit margin and control of the land for their benefit.

Right on, thank you for posting this. I had seen this on a PBS program, as well.

…uh, yeah, and I heard the sky is falling too. What doesn’t stand a chance is the environment and the natural habitat after the ranchers move in and fill the land with cattle and sheep that destroy the eco-system. Plus, in many cases, they want to be allowed to graze on federal land and want to be reimbursed for the animals they lose to predators, who they want destroyed and whose land they have encroached upon.

Finches, among other birds, eat the seeds. Rabbits and woodchucks eat the greens.

Yes, it’s a comic, but it depicts a situation that some find worrisome, myself included. I saw this happen a few months ago, woman tied her dog up to a pole on the sidewalk, went in a store for about 15 minutes. Personally, I would never put my beloved animal friends in such a position and leave them at the mercy of some nut-job, thief or someone with an aggressive dog that may attack them, etc.
