If they marry, will they adopt Sluggo?

On Wikipedia, it says she is supposed to be in her “late 50s” – I don’t think so. Mid-to-late 30’s probably.

Why is Sluggo allowed to live alone at his age?

Actually, they are starting to look like Archie Andrews and Veronica Lodge.

Just looked at the date again – 4/4/1970 – the day Kent State happened! Nancy’s up with the times and Fritzi sure ain’t!

“Stepford” Fritzi during her most conservative era. It’s 1970 but she still looks stuck in the I Love Lucy time of 15-20 years earlier with the dress and pearls. She was cool early on, and Guy has made her awesome again! Thanks Guy! .

Tennessee doesn’t have a coastline. They must be vacationing at the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic Ocean. :)

Guy, I really like the direction you have taken on this strip since you started working on it. It’s always uplifting and wholesome. God Bless You, sir!

How old is Fritzi supposed to be today, as drawn by Gilchrist? I think she looks to be about 35 or so. On Wikipedia, it says she’s in her late 50s. No way! THIS Fritzi (Bushmillers) always seemed prudish and maybe about 50 or so. All I can deduce is that losing Phil Fumble early on caused her to get reduced to a nagging, out-of-touch cypher who rarely smiled in her appearances from the 1950s-70s. Her disappearance during Jerry Scott’s years of drawing the strip probably resulted in a makeover – younger and prettier.

This was the Fritzi that scared me when she got angry. Not the cute flapper, certainly not the country-music reviewer of today. This was the Stepford Fritzi.
