    Personally, if it’s during my off hours (such as when I’m grocery shopping), I let voice mail handle the call. If it’s not important enough for the caller to leave voice mail, it must not have been important enough for me to interrupt my down time in the first place.

    Many times I come up with an idea I think would make a great joke. After turning it around in my head for a while though, I realize I can’t really make it funny enough, and I discard it. I think Mr. Hilburn should acquaint himself with the last part of that process.

    Garfield adds nothing to this particular strip except as someone for Jon to talk to. His lines add nothing to the joke. I like this one better without Garfield.
