    What makes the FG better is that Stebbins kicked a perfect 42-yd spiral instead of the traditional end-over-end.

    My heart whispers ‘They will win’, but my logic debates it in a louder voice. Just building up a defense in case the writers continue their approach to making us donkeys chasing the carrot on the end of the stick.

    Everyone on here is going to be so disappointed to learn after the Larks win the “championship”, that the playoffs do nothing more than move 16 schools to the tru(e) state-championship playdowns. So the Larks will be something like a regional champion. The playoffs are merely preliminary action.

    Maybe the playoffs are seeding games for the playdowns, like years back when Gil(e) coached kids to the Littel League World(e) Series.

    The only reason I am continuing to read this story line is to discover how the Mudlarks don’t make the playdowns. That’s the only drama remaining as far as I am concerned.
