I don’t think the subject is really the Oscars. Oscars is the punchline. The subject is generally ignoring the Boco Haram massacre.

That is nothing new. Current administration ignoring 2000 Nigerian dead is peanuts compared to Clinton’s administration ignoring 800,000 Rwanda dead. Why would they bother, there is no racial division to be incited there?

Plus, Nigeria is relatively pro-western country. We wouldn’t want to break the pattern and assist one of our allies.

    To correct utterly clueless people…

And, yes, this is not getting enough attention. Black on black violence never does.

So, does anyone actually like the new name? I am joining the chorus of disapproval, but someone must like the name since strip is officially changed to it already.

“Her Unicorn” is a particularly bad phrasing, as people mentioned. Marigold is a protagonist in her own right, not an accessory.

Well, duh! Of course, it is easy for Obama to find common ground with a communist dictator. Heck, they’’ll be hard pressed to find different ground.

Chinese are not going to do anything, at least not about the carbon silliness. If they start doing any cleanup, it would be to address their (considerable and growing) pollution problem.

I can’t blame them, though. They found a useful rube who is willing to hurt his own country with schemes that have failed everywhere they were tried.

There is a passage in Constitution that allows illegal behavior? I wonder which it is.

Given the degree of automation in order taking, and soon in food preparation, those are heading overseas too.

Not that the process can’t be assisted, mind you. All you need is to get your state to pass minimum wage increases, and before you know it, those will be everywhere.

I used to use DC metro for my daily commute. Stations are poorly lit and have that dingy cement warehouse look to them, trains are often crowded, the floors and escalators are in constant disrepair. It is always running into budget shortfalls despite heavy subsidies, and any fare increases push ridership down.

In short, it works about as well as anything works in DC.

They are always talking that they will run more 8-car trains, and the last I heard they had no choice because they ordered new cars that are connected in packs of 4 instead of packs of 2. Sounds like they changed it if Mr Toles is to be trusted – not really something anyone should do without double checking with more sane sources.
