I thought it was Chip, He is a Physician’s Assistant. Back in the 70’s, his career was worked into the storyline to promote PAs.

I agree that Annie changed for the better. I liked Jay Maeder’s version and was sorry that it was canceled. I like the old Nancy but I like the Gilchrist version too. Love to see more of Fritzi and the return of Phil. A much more likable Phil.

With so few story comics still around i am very grateful that GA is still with us. But would it be too much for Mr. Scancarelli to show some of the many characters that are never heard from anymore? I like Joel and Rufus but would love to have a storyline with dear Miss Melba. Also, what’s going on with black sheep Eve? If JS reads these comments, please give faithful fans like me a treat.

I know Lois was/is Superman’s adored one. But who is Margot? I looked up Batman’s loves but no Margot. I remember The Shadow’s lady was named Margot Lane.

I’ve been reading some GA from the Dick Moores days. Clovia was crazy about Slim back then. She was in tears when he got interested in another girl, Skeezics and Nina were less enthusiastic about theit daughter’s swain.

I doubt that Annie would be traumatized at seeing the remains of Axel. I bought two of the collections fron ’37 to ’40. Among her adventures were seeing Daddy and the Asp brutally murdered(brought back to life by AM), she twice thrown into the ocean to drown, beset by a pack of wild dogs, etc.

I clicked the double arrow and it went back to ’96. I worked fine for a while. Then it started skipping ahead weeks at a time. Anybody know why this is?

Very nice Mr. Scancarelli. There’s very little notice of Labor Day anymore. Most stores don’t close anymore and people flock to them for them for the sales. There’s no holiday for the employees in those stores, of course.

What year was this storyline in the comic strip?

I read just recently of the passing of Jay Maeder, the last writer of the “Annie” strip. I really liked his updating of the comic. One of his efforts was to add some much needed humor. I hope that Team Tracy pictures Annie as a modern little girl when she is rescued.
