The little guy is still catching his breath, but it looks like he’s o.k.
Now, Margolyn can fill in on how she escaped a soggy death, and where she keeps her spare set of keys.

Alanna may be in for a rougher landing than she’d like, but any landing you can walk away from is better than the alternative. As for Griffin,he deserves a hero’s welcome and a well earned rest.

Griffin, the little dragon who could.
    “I think I can. I think I can…”

Cedric, I doubt your quilted padding is fire-resistant. I suggest you follow the kids’ lead and get the heck out of there. Forget the silver, it ain’t worth it

Friendly, frolicking dragons are bad for the dragon-slaying racket, so Cedrick is out to spoil the fun. He’s not only a self centered bully, he’s a party pooper. And, if the brat who humiliated him gets hurt, that’s just the way the cooky crumbles…

Yes! The rumors of Margolyn’s demise were greatly exaggerated.
I thought that first drop was fireworks. Alanna’s “momma dragon” suit is a much better choice.
We’ll just have to wait for the details of Margolyn’s escape.

That’s right, Cedric, step closer. While the force between isolated poles of magnets varies with the inverse square of the distance, real magnets (and chunks of magnetized steel) are dipoles. and the force varies with the inverse fourth) power. Halve your distance, and the force becomes sixteen times as strong.
    Sucks, doesn’t it..

As I’ve said before, Cedric is way too full of himself, and is overdue for what what’s coming to him. The good news is that Hamel won’t accidently give away the surprise with his shovel. That’s what is called “taking one for the team.”

Margolyn has already pointed out that the valley’s natural magnet is one of the most powerful she has ever seen. Most lodestones are fairly weak compared to artificial magnets made from steels, but a few (with just the right impurities) are noticeably stronger. This one could be a natural rare earth combination…
Cedric could be in for a big surprise.

I think Cedric’s plan to “clear out the dragons” was the wrong thing to say around our heroine.
